With the amazing growth in rowing here in Chichester Harbour a new ‘Head of the Harbour’ event will take place on Saturday 23rd November (weather permitting). The day will be hosted by the Rowing Section of Itchenor Sailing Club.
Racing will be over an 8km course starting from the Itchenor Reach, up to East Head and back for three categories:
- Women Open
- Open
- Mixed Open (50/50)
Classes of boat will include Skiffs, Bursledon Gigs, Cornish Pilot Gigs, Celtic Longboats, Solent Galleys, and Coastal Quads. The race committee will be using the OY Handicap ratings for the various craft.
