For the 2025 a new weather station ‘Emsmet’ will join ‘Cambermet’ and ‘Chimet’ in assisting our boating community here in Chichester Harbour. The Federation is proud to have helped fund this new aid for harbour users.
The station instruments will be installed on the ‘Emsworth’ south cardinal by the Conservancy marine team. The data provided will be integrated by Solent Support Group onto their existing websites providing details currently for the ‘Cambermet’ and ‘Chimet’ stations.
This ‘real time’ will provide wind speed and direction, measured tidal height compared to predicted together with atmospheric conditions.
